Here i go, went to the college this day, a day of love, VALENTINE's day. But no excitement, just a normal day for me as always, empty class. One by one my friends enter the class. By the time class to start many students entered and left the class. I was watching all that happening. Most of the students decided to not attain the class and left. as the the time passed, She entered the class. When i saw her coming, i was like stopped. That moment I was thinking if she was really looking that beautiful or was that the effect of this love day.

I felt like i started living. I started feeling the joy of love. No one notice but i was, my mind was, everything was concentrated on her. Class started with only few students in class while everyone were busy with each other. After sometime everything went away. Felt like just her around. I was amused to see us alone in class. I gathered some courage and moved to her step by step. Only thing moving fast was my heart that ran so fast, moved miles from me and had reached her long ago before I did.

Making myself as strong as possible, I reached her. When she looked at me, it felt like we were in some garden, a garden with beautiful multicolored flowers, birds singing, butterflies in flowers, beautiful stream and love flowing with the wind all over. She was looking as an angel to me. It really is difficult to express that moment in words. That was just wow moment. I moved closer to her. I took her hands on my hands, looking into her eyes, deep into her eyes I saw myself and there in my eyes I could see her smiling face. I felt like lost into her eyes.

Suddenly she spoke, "What are you looking for?" I replied, "Myself, I just lost myself in your beauty, in your eyes, in your smile." She smiled and said, "So do I." That was heavenly moment. That beautiful garden turned into the most beautiful place I ever had seen. Every thing was just like a dream.

I felt that this is the moment and started telling her my feelings, " Feel everything around is blank, nothing around, then slowly a blow of warmth touches you, feels like went away from your heart. Someone garbed your hands. Finally a little light enter your eyes and you see beautiful colors combinations, flowers, smell their fragrance and listen pleasant music. you turn all around and see someone standing so close to you , someone whom you always wanted to be with you. I am now feeling the same how you would feel then. I really mean that what you are saying." She suddenly stopped me and said, "Just say it."

I stopped and stayed still for a while, took a long breath and spoke, "I.. Em.. I LOVE YOU." We were continuously looking at each other. After a while she hugged me with her face on my chest.

I closed my eyes and raised my hands to grab her around my arms. Nothing around mattered to us. I was enjoying that moment with her in my arms.. I asked her, "Do you love me too?". She said, "Do I need to answer." " No, you don't need to. Just stay like this forever." I said. She tightened her grab and said, "Don't you leave me ever". I said, "NEVER".

Suddenly someone called my name. I looked around but saw no one. Again called with even louder voice this time. I again looked around but saw nobody. I saw she was walking away from me. I tried to stop her but I was helpless, I couldn't speak. Flowers got black and dry, birds changed into monsters, shiny day changed into dark nights. I heard someone saying, "Oi, ka classma sutira, utth, class suru hne time vayo(Hey, why are you sleeping in class, wake up its time for class to start)." I opened my eves and looked around. There were only few students but she was not there. I felt sad and couldn't concentrate on my study. I got out of class room and left for home.

PRIVATE MOMENT : a tale of love

U**** has just turn 23. It was his birthday today celebrating with his family along with some of his special friends. One of them was his friend from college, his secret love, S******. It has been long him trying to tell her his hearty feelings but he didn't got chance for that. So he was planning to make it today. They were celebrating a very pleasant time together. He wanted to make this celebration even more important day of his life.

It has been over three hours of celebration by 2200 hours when guest one by one left the place. S****** was just about to cross the gate of U****’s house when suddenly U**** called her name. He asked her to just wait for a moment. Her friends were in a bit hurry since it was late already. So they left her behind.

As it was taking long for U**** to get back, S****** went inside to see what he is doing. There she saw him packing something. She asked him, “What is it U****, make it fast. Its too late already and my friends have left already. Now I will have to walk that long way alone.” By then U**** finished the packing, gave that to her and said, “open it only as you reach home.” Just then U****'s mother came there. When she saw S****** still there asked, "Haven't you yet left beta." and said, "its too late. You should not go by yourself at this time. and asked me to drop her home. That adds pleasure to him. But S****** spoke, "No no aunty, its ok. I can go by myself." But U****'s mother insisted and S****** got ready to leave with him. That was more of what he wanted.

It was a cold night of December. Road was almost empty instead of some barking dogs. There were street lamps glowing after some interval. They started walking with a silence. U**** say S****** trying to warm her arms by rubbing her hands in that cold night. He asked for a minute to her and started running to his home. She asked, "What now?" "Just a minute, wait for me." he said and went away. She was standing under the street lamp, alone trying to warn herself. She decided to went on going and moved a bit ahead.

As she went on going, silence went on going deeper, it was getting darker and fear was rising inside her. She felt as someone behind her but when she looked back, it was only cold air blowing. She was feeling even more cold of this. Fear was taking over her. She was praying if anyone could help. Just then U**** came there with his mother's shawl in his hand. She felt as she really has found God. He offered her that shawl which gave her the warmth she needed. And then her fear was gone away. She was happy to have company. But they were not speaking to each other and silence went on going with them all the way.

As they went on going, now U**** was feeling cold. Now he was trying to warm himself. When S****** saw him suffering cold, she offered him to share the shawl. Without waiting for U****'s response, S****** come closer to him and spread the shawl such that it covers both of their body. Shawl was not enough for both of them but they adjusted. They were very close, so close that more than the shawl, their body heat was making them warm. Noone was able to speak even a word. They just kept on walking. For both of them that was the pleasure of lifetime. That was something they ever needed. That was light to their life, that was light to their romance.

The romance broke as they reached her home. She rang the bell to her house. Soon someone came and opened door for her, when U**** was just behind her standing still. She looked back, said bye and went inside closing the door. He was unhappy as that was now time to be parted, the pleasure of his lifetime has finished. He with his head bent down started waking back. As he was walking back he heard an window opening. He looked back, that was her in the window looking at him with a smile in her face and the gift he gave her in her hand. She looked emotional. He smiled, wave his hand for bye and got lost in dark with joy and went away.
